EWF learned with sorrow that Mr. Kenan Nuhut (1956-2023) passed away on June 19.Mr. Nuhut served as President of the Turkish Weightlifting Federation from 1978 to 1978 and again from 2000 to 2004. The European Weightlifting Federation will organize this year the first edition of the EWF Cup, the most innovative European competition, in a very special format.Participating Federations’ teams with a maximum of five mixed pairs of girls and boys with a minimum age of 17 years old calculated in the athlete’s year of birth will compete on five training or warm-up platform layout outdoors, one of the mandatory conditions for these competitions. Green light from the European Weightlifting Federation’s Executive Board for the EWF Youth Training Camp 2023. After the big success of last year in Croatia, this year it will take place in Konya (TUR), from August 13 to August 20. The invitation is open to all EWF National Federations with a general limit of 20 boys and 20 girls. EWF Member Federations are kindly asked to announce and book as soon as possible their participation in order to secure the respective reservations.
