Chisinau, 03.07.2023 – The excitement continued to build on Day 2 of the 2023 EWF European Youth and U15 Championships, as more exceptional performances captivated spectators at the Chisinau Arena.
The day commenced with a series of gripping competitions in the MEN U15 49B, 55B, and 61B categories.
Following the morning events, the MEN U15 49kg category took center stage, providing an intense battle among talented athletes. Lucian Florin CAMBEI from Romania displayed remarkable strength and technique, securing the gold medal. Danu SECRIERU from Moldova impressed with a silver medal finish, while Isus KIRILOV from Bulgaria claimed the bronze medal.
In the MEN U15 55kg category, Simeon ARNAUDOV from Bulgaria demonstrated exceptional skill, earning the gold medal. Dan BETCA from Moldova showcased his talent, securing the silver medal, closely followed by Vitalii SOROKA from Ukraine, who won the bronze medal.
The competition heated up further with the U15 M 61kg category, where Dimitri ABRALAVA from Georgia emerged victorious, clinching the gold medal. Serhii KOTELEVSKYI from Ukraine showcased his abilities, securing the silver medal, while Kamil ANDRZEJEWSKI from Poland claimed the bronze medal.
The day was further elevated by the presence of esteemed guests, including Sergiu Gurin, the State Secretary of Sport, who graced the event with their presence and honored the exceptional athletes by personally awarding the well-deserved medals. Concluding the day’s events was the W U15 55kg category, where Nicoleta COJOCARU from Moldova delighted the home crowd by capturing the gold medal. Gizem AGAC from Turkey displayed exceptional skill, securing the silver medal, and Julia SZCZEPANIAK from Poland claimed the bronze medal.
