On 1 August, the new bodyweight categories came into force, and accordingly, the EWF published its record standards on the same date.
Following the subsequent publication of the IWF standards, the EWF Technical Committee conducted a further review of the EWF record standards. As a result of this review, the standards are now being republished.
European record standards are established for the age categories recognized by the IWF. Since the U15 and U23 age categories are not subject to ADAMS requirements or doping controls, no European record standards have been established for these categories, nor will European records be recognized for these age categories.
