The Balkan Weightlifting Federation was founded on the 21 st of October, 2024, in Golem, Albania. ITO Seminar and Workshop has been conducted in Faroe Island in conjunction with the Nordic Senior Championships from October 17 to October 19, 2024.Tina Beiter, EWF Vice President and TC Chairwoman, as well as TC members Tryggve Duun and Patrik Helgesson, delivered lectures. EWF President and IWF Executive Board Member, Kt. Antonio Conflitti, who is also President of the Moldavian Weightlifting Federation, was elected Member of the Executive Board of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Moldova, for the term 2024 – 2028. The 10th edition of the European Union Weightlifting Confederation’s Cup took place in Bucharest, Romania, bringing together top Youth and Junior weightlifters from across Europe. Held in the Pullman Hotel World Trade Center Complex in the Romanian capital, from 04 to 05 of October, 2024, the competition featured 60 athletes from eleven EUWC Member Federations: Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. On October 1, 2024, 28 European coaches attended a Zoom session organized by IWF, in which Europe led among the continents in participating in the IWF pilot program for Coaching licensing.
