On October 20, 2024, the Austrian Weightlifting Federation held its elections at the Hotel Schillerpark in Linz, Upper Austria. The newly elected leadership is as follows:

The Austrian Weightlifting Federation and its members are well-known for their high activity levels. During the next EWF Special Congress in Poland, a book written by Gerhard Peya outlining the history of the Danube Cup, which was published with EWF support, will be presented.
