The Israel Weightlifting Federation held its elections on October 4, 2024, in Herzlia, and new leadership was elected for the following four years.

After over a decade of committed work under Oren Shay’s acclaimed leadership, Tomer Bouhadana has been elected the Israel Weightlifting Federation’s new President. Along with him, four new board members will join his administration in their mission to elevate the sport both domestically and internationally. Oren Shay will continue to serve as an important member of the board, providing his knowledge and dedication to the federation’s ongoing activities, and Pavel Kolosovsky will continue as General Secretary.

Under Bouhadna’s leadership, the federation intends to prioritize the development and advancement of national coaches, acknowledging their critical role in shaping the next generation of athletes. The new chairman has stated his commitment to developing young talent in Israel.

The Israel Weightlifting Federation expects an exciting new era with Tomer Bouhadana at the helm, building on the excellent foundation created by previous leaders. The federation requests all stakeholders and supporters of the sport to endorse this new vision for weightlifting in Israel.
