The 43rd European Small Nations Tournament was held from November 3 to 6, 2022, at Sports Arena Spyros Kyprianou in Limassol (CYP).It was superbly organized, with nearly 50 participants from nine countries.The event began with a seminar on anti-doping (Denise Offermann), weightlifting injuries (Dr Mike Irani), and technical rules (Milan Mihajlovic). Cyprus (1393 points) won the 43rd European Small Nations Tournament, followed by Iceland (1382,86), Malta (1382,16), Monaco, San Marino, and Luxembourg. The International Tournament “Open Bosnia Cup” is one of Europe’s oldest competitions. Despite the name change, the tournament is still being held in its 46th edition. Many national teams competed last year, and many of them won the trophy. In the previous decade, Albania, Croatia, Kosovo, Poland, Turkey, Serbia, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Slovenia, Greece, France, Sweden, and many other countries competed. Dr. Kyle Pierce (USA) IWF Coaching Course held at Weightlifting Academy in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 5-9 November 2022, in the framework of International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Development Program. The 43rd European Small Nations Tournament, as well as the International Trophy Cyprus/Greece/Israel/Germany & Cyprus – Greece Friendship Cup and International Junior Cup 2022, will be held in Limassol, Cyprus, from November 3rd to November 6th, 2022. The 2022 European Junior & U23 Championship, which took place from October 15 to 25 in Durres Ramazan Njala Sports Palace, has been successfully concluded. The junior championships had 198 athletes from 31 nations, while the U23 championships included 144 participants from 30 countries. The Championships were one of the most high-quality events, not only in terms of teams and weightlifters but also in terms of organization.
