The recently concluded Lithuanian Weightlifting Championships witnessed a remarkable display of talent and determination as the country’s youth athletes took center stage. The Boys’ Championship Final took place on 05.26, followed by the Youth Girls’ Championship Final on Saturday, 05.27. A total of 331 athletes, including 76 girls and 255 boys, participated in the qualifying competition two weeks prior, setting the stage for an exhilarating contest. Azerbaijan Senior Weightlifting Championship held in Weightlifting Academy, Baku, on April 28-29. About 100 lifters from all parts of the country took part in this tournament. The video Playback Role system was used and helped to raise the level of the championship to the international level. The EWF learned with big sadness that Mr. Marcello Zoratti, a well-known Italian sports figure, has passed away. Zoratti has been involved and very active in Weightlifting for more than 60 years.
