Chisinau, 09.07.2023 – Day 8 of the highly anticipated 2023 EWF European Youth and U15 Championships brought forth a wave of impressive performances by talented weightlifters, captivating the audience at the prestigious Chisinau Arena. The day commenced with the Men’s YO 89kg and 96kg B Groups, setting the stage for a series of intense competitions.
Valerik Movsisyan from Armenia stood out among the competitors in the Men’s YO 89kg category, showing exceptional strength and technique to claim the gold medal. Vadim Danuta from Moldova displayed his skill and determination and with big support from home crowd, earned the silver medal, while Vladislav Maznik, also representing Estonia, secured the bronze.
The Women’s U15 81kg and +81kg categories featured fierce battles and extraordinary displays of talent.
Sara Dal Bo from Italy demonstrated her prowess, clinching the gold medal in the Women’s U15 81kg category. Ada Silo Mengue Digna from Spain impressed with her performance, securing the silver medal, while Ecaterina Cismanescu from Romania earned the bronze.
In the Women’s U15 +81kg category, Flavia Cezara Hreapca from Romania emerged victorious, claiming the gold medal. Anastasia Ceornopolc from Moldova displayed her talent and earned the silver medal and earned huge applause from home fans, who came in big numbers to support their lifter. Barbara Karolak from Poland secured the bronze.
The competition intensified with the Women’s YO 81kg and +81kg categories. Emma Poghosyan from Armenia emerged as the gold medalist in the Women’s YO 81kg category followed by Mariam Murgvliani from Georgia and Katarzyna Kozera from Poland.
The day 8 concluded with women YO +81kg group. Tuana Suren from Turkie emerged victorious, winning gold medal. Hanna Kalashnyk and Sofiia Kozak, both from Ukraine, displayed their talent and determination, securing the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
