Chisinau, 08.07.2023 – The exhilarating Day 7 of the 2023 EWF European Youth and U15 Championships commenced with a display of raw power and skill in the Men’s YO 81kg category. Levan Ochigava from Georgia emerged as the standout performer, clinching the gold medal with his remarkable lifts. Hovhannes Ghahramanyan from Armenia showcased his talent, earning the silver medal, while Dawid Lisiak from Poland displayed his prowess, securing the bronze.

The excitement continued with the Women’s U15 76kg category, where Zeynep Nur Pehlivan from Turkie proved her mettle, claiming the gold medal. Sofia Garcia Stefanova from Bulgaria displayed her determination, earning the silver medal, while Tanja Turukalo from Croatia after amazing preformance, secured the bronze.

In the Men’s U15 96kg category, Jaba Tkeshelashvili from Georgia claimed the gold medal with his exceptional strength and technique. Muhammadali Mammadzada from Azerbaijan showcased his talent, earning the silver medal, while Volodymyr Chmykh from Ukraine demonstrated his skill, taking home the bronze.

The Women’s YO 71kg category saw a display of remarkable performances. Jannete Yli-Soini from Finland emerged as the gold medalist, exhibiting her strength and skill. Petronela Budai from Romania showed her abilities, earning the silver medal, while Alina Sukiasyan from Armenia demonstrated her talent, securing the bronze.

The day concluded with the Women’s YO 76kg category, where the competition was fierce and the performances were exceptional. Anna Amroyan from Armenia earned the gold medal. Burcu IIdem Gercekden from Turkie demonstrated her talent and determination, securing the silver medal. Nana Khorava from Georgia exhibited her abilities, earning the bronze medal. 

The 2023 EWF European Youth and U15 Championships have proven to be a platform for these young athletes to shine and demonstrate their potential on an international stage.
