START LIST The Commonwealth Games is a world class, multi-sport event that is held once every four years. The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be held in venues all across Birmingham and the West Midlands, from 28 July until 8 August 2022. In Israel, the Maccabiah is held every four (4) years.The 2022 Maccabiah Games were held in Israel from July 14 to July 27, 2022, and included competitors from 38 sports. Weightlifting competition held in the YMCA Sports Center in Jerusalem, on July 18-19, 2022. Spanish Weightlifting Federation (Real Federación Española de Halterofilia, RFEH) was organizer of the 2022 European Union Weightlifting Cup, which was held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in León, on July 8th and 9th 2022. The traditional Visegrad 4 – Olympic Hopes weightlifting tournament, brings together young athletes under the age of 18 from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. As a result, the tournament attracted the best weightlifting talent in the Central European region. The event is rotated among the four countries on a regular basis, and Czechia has been chosen to host this competition in 2022. On July 9, 2022, the tournament was held in Plzen. The 2022 Mediterranean Weightlifting event was held in Oran (ALG) from July 1st to July 4th, 2022. It was a terrific four days of competition in EMEC Hall, with good sports results and a lot of emotions. We are all grateful to the Local Organising Committee of the 19th Mediterranean Games and the Algerian Weightlifting Federation for providing excellent conditions for this competition. It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Mr. Guy Koller, President of the French Weightlifting Federation. Mr. Guy Koller, a special person and a strong supporter of our beloved sport was found dead today in his hotel room in Oran – Algeria, where he was attending together with the official delegation of France in the Mediterranean Games.
