For most athletes, the national championships are the most important event. Most people consider participating in or winning a medal at that competition to be their highest achievement. It is also a popular qualifier for national teams. The EWF attempted to compile the results of the national championships in 2022 in one location to highlight athletes’ accomplishments. At the same time, we are attempting to create a database to prevent European athletes’ results from being forgotten. The Türkiye Weightlifting Federation will host the European Senior Championships in Antalya, which will take place from February 17 to February 28, 2024. The EWF EB welcomed Türkiye candidacy and made the aforementioned decision. The International Seminar for Coaches was held in Bratislava on November 23, 2022, organized by the Slovak Weightlifting Federation with the support of the IWF and in collaboration with the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Comenius University in Bratislava. Sarah Fischer, who was born in 2000, is one of the most impressive young weightlifters in the world.
