The European Small Nations Tournament, which featured weightlifting competitions for both seniors and juniors, was held in Luxembourg from November 24th to November 27th, 2023. Representatives from Cyprus (CYP), Luxembourg (LUX), Iceland (ISL), Malta (MLT), Monaco (MON), San Marino (SMR), and Switzerland (SUI) attended the event. The ESNWC Electoral Congress was held on November 25th at the IBIS Hotel, Findel. All Six Nations Delegates were in attendance. Promotion training for athletes and sports officials was organized and conducted on November 24, 2023, during the National Championship, in collaboration with the Anti-Doping Center and the Bulgarian Weightlifting Federation. The training included interactive anti-doping games, a quiz, and a WADA online survey. For their participation and correct answers in the campaign, each participant received a gift. The event was held with the goal of educating teenagers about the dangers of doping and protecting sports values as well as clean sports. Nordic Championships Landskrona, Sweden Oct. 27-28, 2023 – The Nordic Weightlifting Federation comes to life in the fall when two championships are held. Landskrona, Sweden, welcomed lifters and officials from Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden to participate in the senior championships. All in all 62 lifters competed in the competition.On the women’s side Denmark performed the strongest winning the team trophy.
