Antonio Conflitti, together with the Secretary General, Dr. Milan Mihajlovic and Member of the Executive Board, Mr. Alexandru Padure, enjoyed the hospitality of the leadership of the North Macedonian Olympic Committee, Dr. Daniel Dimevski, NOC President and Dr. Sasho Popovski, NOC General Secretary and Vladimir Bogoevski, NOC Sports Director, who also facilitated a working meeting at the headquarters of the Olympic House with the new President of the Weightlifting Federation of North Macedonia, Mrs. Irena Mitrovska, Boban Gjoroski, NF’s General Secretary and Dejan Mitrovski, NF’s Executive Board Member.

The EWF representatives also had the opportunity to visit the Sports center “Jane Sandanski”, a very well equipped polyfunctional complex, managed by North Macedonian NOC, which could host an EWF event in the future.
The EWF President expressed his gratitude to the National Olympic Committee and the specialized Federation for their openness and desire to jointly develop the Olympic sport with weights in this country.
“I did not expect such openness and enthusiasm for our sport, in a country where we are only now starting to lay the bricks of a solid project, but I am grateful to the colleagues from the National Federation and friends from the Olympic Committee, who did not hesitate to show their support. I hope to return to Skopje as soon as possible for an EWF event and, why not, for an event within the framework of EYOF 2025”.
