EWF expects the start of the Training Camp, which will take place in Split, Croatia from September 5 to September 11, 2022. Two British Weight Lifting (BWL) home nation weightlifters have been selected by their respective Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) to serve as their flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games on 28 July. Emily Campbell will fly the flag for Team England. In Israel, the Maccabiah is held every four (4) years.The 2022 Maccabiah Games were held in Israel from July 14 to July 27, 2022, and included competitors from 38 sports. Spanish Weightlifting Federation (Real Federación Española de Halterofilia, RFEH) was organizer of the 2022 European Union Weightlifting Cup, which was held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in León, on July 8th and 9th 2022. Competition was attended by 12 European Union countries, each with a team of athletes from the age categories U15, Youth, and Junior.Trophies were awarded to the best team classification, but the best individual results were also recognized.Spain’s “A team” took first place among teams, followed by Poland in second place, and France in third place. The traditional Visegrad 4 – Olympic Hopes weightlifting tournament, brings together young athletes under the age of 18 from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. As a result, the tournament attracted the best weightlifting talent in the Central European region.
