Following the two EWF announcements sent recently to the continental Member Federations with the invitation to investigate the possibility of supporting the sport activity of refugees weightlifters, with funds allocated by the IOC and IWF through the continental federation, the EWF is pleased to announce that as result of the application and analysis of the proposal received by the Weightlifting Federation of Greece, funds amounting to 14.000 USD for the purchase of weightlifting sports equipment will be allocated to this federation. Antonio Conflitti, President of the Weightlifting Federation of Moldova, will lead the EWF as President, following the result of the Extraordinary Congress’ electoral process requested by continental Member Federations earlier this autumn.
