Update about EWF competitions
The EWF Executive Board made several important decisions during its Meeting, whose sessions started on January 31, 2022, in online mode:
2022 EWF European Senior Championships were allocated to Albania. The competition is planned to be held from May 25 to June 5, 2022, in Tirana (ALB).
2022 EWF European Youth & U15 Championships were allocated to Russia. The competition is planned to be held from August 3 to August 10, 2022, in Kazan (RUS).
We remind you that the allocation of the EWF European Junior & U23 Championships was previously approved and the competition is allocated to Albania. The competition is planned to be held from October 15 to October 25, 2022, in Tirana (ALB).
The Best 2021 European Weightlifter
A vote for “The Best 2021 European Weightlifter” will be held very soon, following the unanimous and enthusiastic vote of the EWF EB. The trophy will be awarded during the 2022 European Senior Championships during a dedicated ceremony. All the information related to the selection procedures will be published soon.
New General Secretary of Russian Weightlifting Federation
During the meeting of the Executive Board of the Russian Weightlifting Federation, held on December 23, 2021, the members of the RWF elected a new General Secretary – Dmitry Viktorovich Vasilenko.
EWF congratulates Mr. Dmitry Viktorovich Vasilenko and wishes him success in further work.
