The EWF Congress took place in Durres on October 14, 2022.
In the presence of delegates from 30 different nations, the European Weightlifting Federation expressed its special appreciation to the host, Albanian Weightlifting Federation who conducted three significant events this year — the European Championship for Senior, the IWF Electoral Congress, and now the European Championship for Junior & U23.
Reports on the work done between the two congresses were accepted, timeline for adopting the new EWF Constitution at the following congress’s session were announced, and the latest information about 2024 Olympic games were presented.
The European Championship for Juniors and U23 officially opens on November 15 and runs between November 16 and 25, 2022, with 342 weightlifters competing from 39 different nations.
Sessions of the EWF committees and Executive board did take place before to the EWF Congress.
