Montpellier, France – Weightlifting was in the spotlight this Monday as the sport led the first collective relay of the Olympic flame on French soil. The relay, featuring 24 torchbearers from local clubs, brought the flame to the Philippidés stadium in Montpellier.
David Bossian, General Secretary of the French Weightlifting Federation and President of the Regional Federation, was among the torchbearers. “It was an incredible honor to represent our sport and carry the flame,” said Bossian.
This event was a proud moment for the weightlifting community, showcasing their dedication and passion for the sport.
