In its eleventh edition, the Man of the Year event traditionally attracted the most prominent personalities of the year in Moldova. Lawyers, doctors, teachers, IT specialists, creative people, but also representatives from sport and young people have been rewarded for their work and talent in a festive gala event organized in Chisinau, at the highest level.
75 diplomas of honor and the traditional “red trophies” were presented for the contributions made to the development of the Moldavian society, in different fields of activity.
Among the guests and winners of the “Man of the Year 2023 Gala”, who appeared on the red carpet, was the EWF President Antonio Conflitti and President of the National Weightlifting Federation of Moldova, who was awarded in the “successful foreigners in Moldova” category.
The VIP Magazin magazine presented to Mr. Conflitti the special prize, granted in recognition of his outstanding commitment in the promotion of weightlifting and in the development of the sport in the country and in the international representation. The organization of the 2023 Youth and U15 European Championships in Chisinau, the first official competition ever organized in Moldova for an Olympic sport, contributed to the resounding success of the activity of the Weightlifting Federation of Moldova and its President.
The most emotional part of the evening came when Mr. Conflitti dedicated this special trophy to his wife Dina. In front of a packed room, he spoke of his wife’s unconditional support and the pivotal role she has played in his every achievement.
“I am deeply grateful for the honor of being named the 2023 Man of the Year in Moldova in the category I was nominated in”, said Mr. Conflitti. “But I can never forget that every step I took on this journey was with a special person. My wife, Dina, was the cornerstone of my every victory and every effort made for Moldovan sport in general. This trophy is dedicated to her”
The ”Man of the Year 2023” gala represents a review of the merits and good deeds of the most visible, notorious personalities and their successes achieved during the past year.
