Chisinau, 04.07.2023 – Day 3 of the 2023 EWF European Youth and U15 Championships commenced with an electrifying atmosphere at the Chisinau Arena. The day started with the Men YO 61kg Group B, Men YO 55kg Group A, Men YO 61kg Group A, Women U15 59kg Group A and finished with the Women U15 64kg Group A.
In the Men YO 55kg Group A, Aykun Burak from Turkey delivered an exceptional performance, securing the gold medal with an impressive total of 228kg. Amin Osmanov from Azerbaijan showcased his skills and claimed the silver medal with a total of 216kg, closely followed by Nino Simeonov from Bulgaria, who secured the bronze medal with a total of 214kg.
The excitement continued to escalate with the Men YO 61kg Group A category.
Grigoryan Zhora from Armenia displayed tremendous determination and talent, winning the gold medal with an impressive total of 244kg. The home crowd erupted with support as Badanev Ion from Moldova secured the silver medal with a total of 241kg, just narrowly missing out on the top spot. Luka Lomashvili from Georgia showcased his prowess, claiming the bronze medal with a total of 239kg.
In the Women U15 59kg Group, Carja Enklieda from Albania shone brightly, claiming the gold medal with a total of 184kg. Freya Koskela from Sweden secured the silver medal with a total of 165kg. The bronze medal went to Chiara Reljac from Croatia, with a total of 161kg.
The competition on Day 3 concluded with the Women U15 64kg category. Burda Iga from Poland claimed the top spot, winning the gold medal with a total of 172kg. Oleksandra Chmukh from Ukraine secured the silver medal with a total of 167kg. The bronze medal went to Andrada Galvao Pereira from Belgium, who demonstrated her skill and determination with a total of 160kg.
