Warsaw, Poland – The Polish Weightlifting Federation is proud to announce that on the 24th of April, during the Polish Olympic Committee’s Executive Board meeting, Mr. Waldemar Gospodarek, President of the Polish Weightlifting Federation, was elected as vice-president for the term 2023-2027. The meeting, held at the Olympic Centre in Warsaw, saw the newly elected president of the Polish Olympic Committee, Mr. Radosław Piesiewicz, replacing Mr. Andrzej Kraśnicki. 

The election of Mr. Gospodarek to the position of vice-president marks a historic moment for the Polish Weightlifting Federation, as it is the first time a member has been elected to such a highly ranked position in the Olympic Committee.

With this new appointment, the Polish Weightlifting Federation is confident that Mr. Gospodarek will continue to be a strong advocate for the sport and work tirelessly to promote and develop weightlifting in Poland and around the Europe.

The European Weightlifting Federation congratulates Mr. Gospodarek on his election as vice-president of the Polish Olympic Committee. Mr. Gospodarek has been a driving force in the development and promotion of weightlifting in Poland and his election to this prestigious position is a testament to his hard work and dedication to the sport.
