Yerevan, April 20, 2023 – The 2023 EWF European Championships are in full swing and day 5 did not disappoint. Today we witnessed the incredible performances of some of the strongest and most dedicated weightlifters in the Europe, with two exciting groups taking place: the women’s 71 category and the men’s 81kg category.
After a tight competition, the gold medal went to Loredana Elena Toma from Romania. Toma’s impressive lifts secured her a top spot on the podium, much to the delight of her fans. The silver medal was awarded to Giulia Miserendino from Italy, who fought hard to stay in the race for the top spot. The bronze medal was taken by Sarah Davies from the UK, who demonstrated her strength and technique throughout the competition.
The second weight category of the day was the men’s 81kg category. Oscar Reyes Martinez from Italy emerged victorious with his impressive lifts, claiming the gold medal. Batu Han Yuksel from Turkie earned the silver medal, showcasing his impressive strength and technique. Rafik Harutyunyan from Armenia rounded off the top three with the bronze medal, much to the delight of the home crowd.
The athletes’ performances were met with rousing applause from the spectators, who cheered them on throughout the day. As the competition progresses, the tension is building, and fans eagerly anticipate what the next few days have in store for them.
