The Maccabiah Games are a multi-sport competition held in Israel every four years. It is one of the world’s largest sporting events, with 10,000 athletes competing.
The 21st Maccabiah will be held from July 12 to July 26, 2022. It was scheduled to take place last year but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, as were other sporting events around the world.
The event is even more exciting because we will be able to see weightlifting competitions for the first time after 33 years.
Weightlifting competitions in Maccabiah will be held at the YMCA center in Jerusalem on July 18-19.
The event will be attended by delegations from the United States, Germany, Romania, France, Australia, and other countries.
“We are very excited about the competition and hope to connect and make connections between Jewish weightlifting athletes and enthusiasts all over the world, and we wish all delegations and athletes the best of luck. And we cordially invite you to come to watch and enjoy yourselves with your families,” said the Israel Weightlifting Federation.
According to the Sinclair results, competitions for men and women, as well as teams, will be organized.
Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in the male and female categories, as well as the top three finishers in the TEAM classification (one male athlete and one female athlete).
