The seniors competed Nov. 15-16 in Gardabaer, Iceland, and two weeks later the juniors and youth competed in Halmstad, Sweden. The youth and junior championships was a showcase for Finland as they won all the team competitions. The Balkan Senior Weightlifting Championships will return this year in a renewed format, with the first edition of the reinstated event to be held in Durrës, Albania, from 1 to 4 December.After a long pause, the Championships have been reintroduced to the regional sporting calendar, with 8 countries confirming their participation and a total of 69 athletes set to compete.
