The European Weightlifting Federation is pleased to announce that the 2026 EWF Youth Training Camp will take place from 12 to 19 July at the renowned Federal Office of Sport (BASPO) National Sports Centre in Macolin (Magglingen), Switzerland.
All participants will be accommodated at the prestigious BASPO Sports Centre, one of Europe’s leading high-performance sports facilities, which will also serve as the official training venue throughout the camp.
The EWF expects the participation of delegations from Czech Republic, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland, bringing together a total of 77 athletes and coaches.
The training camp will be led by Jesmond CARUANA, Chairperson of the EWF CRSC, together with Eduard ANDRUSKEVICS and Gonario CORBU, who will oversee the technical and educational programme throughout the week.
The Youth Training Camp continues the EWF’s long-standing tradition of organizing annual summer development camps, providing young weightlifters with an excellent opportunity to train together, exchange experiences, and strengthen friendships across the international weightlifting community under the guidance of experienced coaches.
On this occasion, the EWF is also pleased to announce that the 2026 EWF Winter Training Camp will be held in December 2026 in Armenia. Further information regarding the dates, venue, and participation will be published in due course.
