Laljek re-election marks a continuation of the federation’s current leadership and is expected to provide stability as Slovenian weightlifting continues its development at both grassroots and competitive levels. During his time in office, the federation has worked to support athletes, clubs, and coaches, while promoting the growth and visibility of weightlifting across the country.

Laljek’s renewed mandate comes at an important time for the sport, with continued efforts needed to strengthen youth participation, improve training standards, and support strong performances in international competition. His leadership is expected to remain focused on these priorities, in close cooperation with clubs, officials, coaches, and the wider sporting community

The Slovenian Weightlifting Federation now looks ahead to the next phase of its work under Laljek’s presidency, with expectations of further progress in athlete development, organizational strength, and the promotion of weightlifting in Slovenia.

The European Weightlifting Federation extends its best wishes to Slovenian weightlifting for continued success and many excellent sporting results in the years ahead.
