On March 8, 2025, an EWF seminar for athletes and coaches was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The seminar was led by three-time Olympic champion Pyrros Dimas and attended by over 20 participants eager to learn from one of the greatest weightlifter of all time.

The attendees were welcomed by Uroš Mohorič, Secretary General of the Slovenian Olympic Committee, and Paris Olympic judo champion Andreja Leški, whose physical preparation was overseen by Damjan Čanžek.

The seminar covered key topics such as the technique of the snatch, clean and jerk, correction of technical mistakes, and additional exercises for strength development. A dynamic discussion took place between the participants and Dimas, with great interest in his career path and experiences as one of the most iconic weightlifter in history.

Before this event, on March 1, Dr. Milan Mihajlović EWF General Secretary, IWF Technical Committee member and three-time Olympic Games ITO, along with Damjan Čanžek, IWF & EWF CRSC member and ITO at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, conducted a seminar for national referees. The session focused on the roles of ITOs, as well as on incorrect and incomplete movements and positions of lifters.

The seminars followed the Slovenian Youth and Junior Championship, where outstanding results were achieved, showcasing the athletes’ exceptional dedication to the sport.
