The European Weightlifting Federation Executive Board has agreed to give Associated Members more opportunities to compete therefore, from now on, Associated Members will be able to take part in the European U15 and European U23 Championships. By opening these events to Associated Members, the EWF reinforces its commitment to building a more inclusive and unified future for the sport across Europe.
It was also confirmed that the 2025 European Junior Championships will count as a qualification event for the 2026 Commonwealth Games for Full Member Federations.
This will provide athletes with a key opportunity to earn their place at one of the sport’s biggest multi-sport events.
