Romanian Weightlifting Federation held its meeting of the Ordinary General Assembly and Elections 2025, on March 14, in the “Olympic House” Amphitheater – headquarters of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, in Bucharest.
The working sessions, as well as the second part of the meeting, reserved for the elections, took place in very good conditions, in compliance with all the statutory provisions.

The Technical Director and the General Secretary will be confirmed in some of the following meetings of the new governing body. The President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Mr. Mohammed Jalood, Secretary General, Dr. Antonio Urso and the Deputy General Secretary of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, Mr. Florin Misca, who wanted to be with the family of weightlifters from Romania, showing, at the same time, their support and appreciation for Romanian weightlifters. On the occasion of the meeting, the international officials awarded the best Romanian athletes in 2024: Mihaela Cambei and Tiberiu Donose.
Plaques were also offered to the Deputy General Secretary, Mr. Florin Misca and Mrs. Ingrid Istrate, director of the Onesti Municipal Sports Club, Mihaela Cambei’s club at the time of winning the Olympic silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
