The Hellenic Weightlifting Federation conducted its elections in Athens at the end of October 2024, during which Ms. Theano Zagkliveri was re-elected as President of the Federation. Ms. Zagkliveri stood as the sole candidate and secured 38 votes from the 44 voting weightlifting clubs.
The elections also resulted in the following appointments to the Board of Directors:
1st Vice-President: Anna Stroumbou
2nd Vice-President: Heraklis – Charalambos Roditis
3rd Vice-President: Chariklia Kyriakidou
Secretary General: Filippia Kochliaridou
Special Secretary: Stylianos Yordamilakis
Treasurer: George Kouroumihakis
Material Supervisor: Christos Kamariannakis (representative of coaches)
Members: Pyrros Dimas, Valerios Leonidis, Leonidas Sampanis, Evangelos Prokopidis, Polaktsidou Despoina (athletes’ representative).
Notably, Olympic Champion Pyrros Dimas will serve as the representative of weightlifting at the Plenary Session of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
