The European Weightlifting Federation’s Anti-Doping and Fair Play Commissions have successfully organized a series of three face-to-face seminars on general topics related to Anti-Doping and Fair Play rules and values in the beautiful city of Durres, on the occasion of the 100th edition of the European Senior Championships which are taking place in Albania. 43 participants including athletes, coaches, ITOs, administrators from 19 European countries took part in the educational meetings, presented by Ms. Denise Offermann, making an important contribution to the initiatives taken by the EWF to educate the weightlifting community in Europe.
The first registered to each seminar also received a prize from EWF partner Eleiko. The specialized EWF Commissions will recognize Certificates to all participants, and the presentation in digital format will be sent to all Member Federations in Europe to spread the information also to those who were already in competition or could not participate.
The series of Anti-Doping and Fair Play seminars is in its third edition after its debut at the 2021 European Youth and U15 Championships in Poland when POLADA (National Anti-Doping Organization) was also involved and will continue to be organized in the next EWF competitions and events.
