Day 6 of the 2026 EWF European Youth & U15 Championships began with the B groups in the Youth Men 75 kg and 85 kg categories, before four medal sessions followed through the afternoon and evening.

The Youth Men 75 kg was the first medal session of the day, and it quickly became a record battle.

Albania’s Antonino MULLISI finished the Snatch on top with 135 kg, setting a new European Youth record. Arsenii KUROCHKIN, representing Russia, was three kilograms behind on 132 kg, with Ukraine’s Ivan PLOSKINA another kilogram back on 131 kg.

The order changed in the Clean & Jerk. KUROCHKIN opened with 160 kg, then lifted 165 kg for a new European Youth record and a winning Total of 297 kg. During the session the Total record moved from MULLISI’s 291 kg to KUROCHKIN’s 292 kg, before the final mark was raised again to 297 kg.

MULLISI took silver with 291 kg, while PLOSKINA finished third on 289 kg.

Ukraine took the next title through Andrii MELNYK in the Men U15 85 kg.

MELNYK held a narrow lead after a 123 kg Snatch and then extended it with 154 kg in the Clean & Jerk, finishing on 277 kg.

Azerbaijan’s Fakhraddin ALLAHVERDIYEV was second with 272 kg after lifts of 122 kg and 150 kg, while Bulgaria’s Danail ZHEKOV took bronze with 264 kg.

Poland’s Alicja SZARUGA was in control of the Women U15 69 kg from the start.

She led the Snatch with 86 kg and added 111 kg in the Clean & Jerk to finish with 197 kg, twelve kilograms clear of the rest of the field.

Türkiye took both remaining places on the podium. Meryem KANDEMIR finished second with 185 kg, while Ezel Yagmur ISITMIR was third on 180 kg.

The final session of the day, the Youth Men 85 kg, delivered another record fight and a finish decided by just one kilogram.

Armenia’s Harutyun AVETISYAN had the advantage after the Snatch with 141 kg. Türkiye’s Yigithan EROGLU was next on 140 kg, with Georgia’s Lado DZIMTSEISHVILI on 139 kg.

Everything changed in the Clean & Jerk.

DZIMTSEISHVILI first set a European Youth record at 171 kg. EROGLU answered with 173 kg, before the Georgian came back for 175 kg and took the record once again.

The same battle carried over into the Total. EROGLU reached 313 kg for a new European Youth record, but DZIMTSEISHVILI’s final lift moved him to 314 kg and gave him the title by a single kilogram.

AVETISYAN finished with 309 kg for bronze.
