Day 6 of the 2025 EWF European Youth and U15 Championships – Narrow Wins and Heavy Lifts

The sixth day opened with the Women’s U15 58kg category. Türkiye’s Tugba Kivikoglu took gold with a 166kg total (71kg snatch and 95kg clean & jerk). It was a close battle—just one kilogram separated her from silver. A strong final lift in clean & jerk secured her the top spot. Aisylu Nigmatzianova (AIN) followed closely with 165kg (75kg snatch, 90kg clean & jerk), and Italy’s Guendalina Catena earned bronze with 153kg (70kg snatch, 83kg clean & jerk).
In the Men’s U15 71kg group, the results were just as tight. Daniil Zaiko (AIN) lifted 238kg total (107kg snatch, 131kg clean & jerk) to win gold. Azerbaijan’s Latif Aliyev pushed him all the way with 237kg (108kg snatch, 129kg clean & jerk), just one kilo behind. Georgia’s Otar Bzikadze claimed bronze with 236kg (106kg snatch, 130kg clean & jerk).
The final group of the day was the Men’s U15 79kg. Türkiye’s Yigithan Eroglu finished first with a solid 277kg total (128kg snatch and 149kg clean & jerk). Poland’s Sebastian Grzymala secured silver with 268kg (120kg snatch, 148kg clean & jerk). Georgia’s Nikoloz Jalagonia also lifted 268kg (119kg snatch, 149kg clean & jerk), but was awarded bronze based on the who lifter first rule.
