The International Seminar for Coaches was held in Bratislava on November 23, 2022, organized by the Slovak Weightlifting Federation with the support of the IWF and in collaboration with the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Comenius University in Bratislava.

Olympic weightlifting in strength and conditioning was the main topic.

The seminar was officially opened by Tomáš Chovanec, Chairman of the Slovak Weightlifting Federation, with the participation of Attila Ádámfi and Petr Krol, Vice Presidents of the IWF, to welcome over 200 participants and guests from the Czech Republic.

The following lectures were given thanks to the organizing committee:

Milan Sedliak, Head of the Biological and Medical Sciences, FTVŠ UK, with the topic Psychological features of strength training

Prof. Eugen Laczo  – Model of periodization of speed- strength training

Tomáš Mihálik – Weightlifting exercises and their modifications. Why they are suitable for every sport?

Roman Švantner – Inclusion of weightlifting exercises in strength training and conditioning

Tereza Kráľová – Technique and biomechanical features of special training exercises in weightlifting

Štefan Korpa – Fundamentals of practice and improvements in technique for competitive disciplines in Olympic weightlifting

Jozef Porubský – Practice and mastering od weightlifting disciplines and CrossFit

Jakub Kmeťko- Weightlifting training exercises in movement preparation and in therapeutic practice

Viktor Oliva – Movement preparation for speed-strength sports, weightlifting

Gabriel Buzgó – Non-traditional technical training procedures in weightlifting
