The eighth day began with the U15 69kg B and +69kg B categories, setting the tone for a packed day of lifting.

In the Women’s Youth +77kg group, Sofia Vragova (AIN) took gold with 211kg (95kg snatch, 116kg clean & jerk). Türkiye’s Zeynep Nur Pehlivan claimed silver with 206kg (72kg snatch, 93kg clean & jerk), and Dorota Gnoza of Poland earned bronze with 199kg (89kg snatch, 110kg clean & jerk).

The Men’s Youth 79kg session came down to the last attempts. Ukraine’s Yurii Klymkovych won gold with 297kg (139kg snatch, 158kg clean & jerk), just one kilo ahead of Italy’s Samuele Di Marzio at 296kg (136kg snatch, 160kg clean & jerk). Latvia’s Maksims Vasilonoks was only a kilo further back with 295kg (138kg snatch, 157kg clean & jerk).

In the Men’s Youth 88kg group, Ukraine’s Serhii Kotelevskyi set new European Youth Records in clean & jerk (177kg) and total (318kg) to win gold. Türkiye’s Sefkan Sumen broke the European Youth Record in snatch with 145kg and finished second with 317kg. Andrei Solopii completed the podium with 311kg (142kg snatch, 169kg clean & jerk).

The Women’s U15 69kg final saw Türkiye’s Zehranur Aslan take gold with 181kg (80kg snatch, 101kg clean & jerk). Anastasiya Yushchiyeva (AIN) followed with 171kg (79kg snatch, 92kg clean & jerk), and Romania’s Mihaela Bosinceanu earned bronze with 167kg (76kg snatch, 91kg clean & jerk).

The day ended with the Women’s U15 +69kg group. Türkiye’s Sudenaz Yilmaz secured gold with 203kg (92kg snatch, 115kg clean & jerk). Ukraine’s Polina Kalnyk claimed silver with 199kg (85kg snatch, 114kg clean & jerk), and Romania’s Flavia Cezara Hreapca took bronze with 198kg (89kg snatch, 109kg clean & jerk).

Day 8 was long and full of action. Records were broken, and medals were decided by the smallest of margins.
