The President of the European Weightlifting Federation, Antonio Conflitti recently conducted an important visit to the France Weightlifting Federation (FWF) offices, showcasing his continued efforts to learn about NF activities and to update them on the EWF ongoing work.
This visit not only provided an opportunity to discuss weightlifting in France and Europe, but it also focused on weightlifters’ preparation and participation in the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
During the visit, the EWF President got the opportunity to meet the President of the FWF, Michel RAYNAUD, and his team. The agenda for the day included detailed discussions about the FWF’s present activities and future initiatives. It was an opportunity to share views and experiences, which improved the connection between the two weightlifting organizations.
An informative tour of the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (INSEP), also known as the ” L’Institut national du sport, de l’expertise et de la performance” in French, was organized. The French Weightlifting Federation team actively prepares for the upcoming event, the European championships in Sofia, together with the Irish Weightlifting Federation team, demonstrating our sport’s community global brotherhood.
The tour then proceeded to the Olympic Village, where the serious preparations for the grand event were on full display. The meticulous planning and dedication of the organizing committee were palpable, leaving no doubt that the forthcoming Olympic Games will be an awe-inspiring spectacle.
As the visit concluded, it was evident that the EWF and FWF are working together in a closer way.
With the united commitment demonstrated during this tour, we can enthusiastically await the start of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. This magnificent event, which honors the unifying power of sport, is much awaited around the world.
